Anne Boychuk - Hinsides

Brandon University Visual and Aboriginal Arts Department presents hinsides BFA Thesis exhibition by Anne Boychuk.

December 9th-18th, 2010
Opening Reception: Thursday, December 9th, 7 - 10pm
Closing Event: Saturday, December 18th, 2-6pm

Anne Boychuk was born and raised in Norway. She has been a resident of Brandon for the past 20 years.

hinsides is an exhibition of semi-abstracted paintings depicting nature executed in acrylics mixed with natural debris on canvas. The work is all inspired by Norwegian nature and describes a sensation of raw life under the surface. A great portion of the series was painted in Norway earlier this year. Every piece has a bit of Norway in it, from the gathered debris to the sense of being there, even while completing the series back in Brandon.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Opening or come for the Norwegian Waffles at the closing event!
