Candice Ringland

Brandon University Visual and Aboriginal Arts Department presents V., BFA Thesis exhibition by Candice Ringland.

V. is a visual celebration of women’s individuality and sexuality. By unabashedly displaying the most hidden parts of the female body through the use of paint and chewed bubble gum, Ringland seeks to remove shame and place the vulva in a position of strength and sensual power. Her artwork attempts to remove the stigmas that are associated with the vulva that arise from pressures in society and representation in the media.
