Bachelor of Fine Arts Program

Ishkaabatens Waasa Gaa Inaabateg Department of Visual Art at Brandon University offers majors and minors in Aboriginal Art, Ceramics, Digital Media and Design, Drawing, Painting, as well as a minors in Art History/Visual Culture and Printmaking.

Our Bachelor of Fine Arts program provides dynamic learning opportunities and environments where students can attain a high-level technical and theoretical skill along with professional preparation. Our program supports innovative pedagogies and interdisciplinary making. Class sizes and facilities offer student access to equipment and expertise. Studio courses accommodate both beginner and advanced levels of study.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours program offers students the opportunity to focus on one major discipline of study and to present a thesis in the form of a graduating body of work. This includes on-going guidance from a thesis committee made up of department faculty, and the production of a solo exhibition presented at the Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art (Brandon University).
