Renata Truelove is a mother, artist-researcher, and student. She holds a BA (Hons) in psychology and visual art from Brandon University and is currently pursuing her Master of Psychotherapy & Spirituality (Art Therapy Specialization) at St. Stephen’s College. Her research interests centre around how art changes the mind and the body, with a focus on aesthetic experience and catharsis. As an artist, Renata works across drawing, painting, sculpture, and textile media.
Beyond her practice, she serves as the Gallery & Studio Coordinator in the IWGI Department of Visual Art at Brandon University and has been working in arts administration since 2015. Renata is passionate about supporting artists and students and making art accessible through playful inclusive approaches.
